Senior Mine Geologist – Open Pit
Assist an ASX listed gold explorer and emerging producer with restarting open pit production. Perth based with flexible site travel and no locked in roster.
The operation
Our client is a small but dynamic ASX listed gold explorer and emerging producer operating across multiple projects in Western Australia’s most prolific gold producing belts. The company is at an inflection point, transitioning from pure exploration into resource development and, ultimately, production.
The role
An experienced open pit Senior Mine Geologist with resource development capability is sought to assist with restarting open pit production. The role is Perth based with flexible site travel as required and no locked in roster.
Key duties
- Grow the current resource via open pit extensions along strike
- Manage drill programs
- Model mineralisation and assist with MRE estimates
- Assist with mine planning and develop the geology team for the initial open pit operations and future underground operations
What you will need
- Bachelor of Science in Geology
- Seven years plus in Australian mining
- Open pit competency with experience in resource development
- Experience building, mentoring and managing new teams
- Competency with relevant industry software
- Full Australian working rights
