A newly created senior seat with an ASX listed gold explorer and emerging producer, covering greenfields and brownfields work across multiple projects.
The operation
Our client is a small but dynamic ASX listed gold explorer and emerging producer operating across multiple projects in Western Australia’s most prolific gold producing belts, with additional international assets in Canada and on the east coast of Australia.
The role
A Senior Exploration Geologist is sought as the business transitions into its next stage of growth. This is a newly created position: you will be one of the first geologists on the team and the most senior operationally, reporting to the Geology Manager.
This is a lean, entrepreneurial business where senior people operate with genuine autonomy and a direct line of sight to the board. There is no corporate bureaucracy. The right person will have real ownership of their projects and the ability to shape outcomes from day one.
Key duties
- Exploration covering multiple projects
- Greenfields reconnaissance and regional targeting
- Drill targets to develop a resource base in the area
- Assist with the development of the geology team
- Assist with hiring, mentoring and training of new team members
What you will need
- Bachelor of Science in Geology
- Seven years plus in similar exploration roles in Australia
- Experience in both greenfield and brownfield exploration
- Exposure to building and managing new teams
- Drill program management experience
- Hands on, with the ability to work independently
- Full Australian working rights
