The operation
An Australian gold explorer, developer and producer with an extensive history in Western Australian mining, operating open pit, underground and processing assets.
The role
An experienced underground Principal Mining Engineer is sought for our client in Western Australia. Reporting directly to the Mining Manager, you will assist with development, execution, planning and budgeting processes.
Key duties
- Provide input with the senior leadership team so that a strategic life of mine plan is created and executed
- Communicate areas of risk and monitor preventative actions closely
- Ensure corrective plans and actions are implemented to prevent identified adverse trends
- Continuously scrutinise the internal and external environment for opportunities to improve operational performance or reduce operational risk
- Provide assistance to the mining team as required
What you will need
- Degree in mining engineering or equivalent
- Ten years plus of mining engineering experience in underground operations, open pit exposure ideal
- First Class Mine Manager’s certificate
- Deswik proficiency
- Full Australian working rights
