Mine Geologist – Open Pit

The role

Our client is seeking an experienced open pit Mine Geologist to join the team as it expands into a new developing project. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and innovative, and looking to join an exciting team for the long term.

Key duties

1. Monitor, sample and log grade control drilling programs to delineate the orebody ahead of mining
2. Update geological plans and sections with survey and drilling data
3. Record and report production data using company systems
4. Assist in training geological technicians and support general surface operations
5. Maintain compliance with WHS legislation and site safety protocols

What you will need

• Tertiary qualification in geology
• Two years plus in open pit mining operations
• Experience with geological mining software packages
• Ideally some precious metals experience
• Full Australian working rights
