Field Assistant
Two field technician seats supporting the geology team at a leading base metals operation in NSW.
The operation
Ezra Recruitment is representing an Australian producer, explorer and contractor in its search for two field technicians for eastern Australian operations. Predominantly a base metals mining company with exposure to precious metals.
The role
In this role you will provide safe, sustainable and efficient support to the geology team on site. This includes accurate and timely geological data collection, safely undertaking field activities, and maintaining control processes and procedures to a high standard. The role reports to a supportive management team with a strong commitment to collaboration.
Key duties
- Assist geologists so that work programmes are completed
- Assist with core logging, data management and uploading of all data to the database
- Coordinate core yard operations and maintain high housekeeping standards
- Undertake other sampling and data collection activities as required
- Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
What you will need
- Minimum six months experience in core yards
- Ideally two years in similar roles
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and analytical ability
- Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team
- Valid manual C class driver’s licence
