Maintenance Technician – Camps & Fleet
Keep the camps, vehicle fleet and site plant serviceable across a multi site exploration business, with S26 accountability for the work.
The operation
A Western Australian exploration business running camps, a vehicle fleet and site plant across several remote projects. The camps are permanent enough to need proper upkeep and mobile enough that new ones get stood up and pulled down again as the program moves.
The role
The maintenance seat that keeps the camps and the fleet serviceable. It covers planned and reactive maintenance on camp buildings and infrastructure, servicing and defect rectification across the vehicles, and preventative work on generators, water systems, pumps, trailers and the rest of the site plant, plus the minor construction and earthworks that go with running a camp.
The role carries S26 Statutory Supervisor accountability for maintenance and construction work on site, including directing and supervising the contractors brought in for it. Budget, scheduling and standards sign off sit with the supervisors above the role, so this is accountability for the work rather than for the commercials.
