The Tenement Manager will play an integral part assisting with the delivery of the land access requirements of the business, including tenement applications and objections, negotiating land access agreements and managing our portfolio of tenements across WA.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the good standing of tenements in collaboration with Tenement Consultants.
- Prepare Form 5's and Annual technical reports for all company projects.
- Aid in negotiating land access agreements with mining tenement holders, applicants, and pastoralists, engaging with various stakeholders.
- Manage the objections database, ensuring timely coordination of Mining Act tenement application processes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with obligations register.
- Engage with stakeholders regarding land access and contractual arrangements.
- Manage relevant land access databases and oversee month-to-month tenement expenditure to ensure compliance.
- Offer occasional land access advice and assist in permitting roles where applicable.
- Strong GIS abilities are highly advantageous for this role.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Geology
- Experience in tenement management
- Knowledge of the WA Mining Act, Land Administration Act and related resources development legislation as it applies to the development and operation of mining projects in WA.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging and negotiating with external stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail
- Understanding of Aboriginal heritage Acts/ Native Title Legislation
- Background in Exploration Geology
