An exploration and mining company is currently seeking a Project Exploration Geologist to join their team for an exciting opportunity at a new project. The position requires experience and expertise in green to brown fields exploration, preferably in lithium projects.

The appropriate candidate will be able to work independently and have the ability/ experience managing a team of junior Geologists, Field Technicians and contractors.

The position is available with immediate start and on an even time 2/2 roster FIFO Perth.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor drilling and excavation activities including rig supervision.
• Preparing geological maps and sections of drill holes, dieback areas and rehabilitation.
• Sampling and logging and validating of drill holes.
• Drill programme design and execution.
• QAQC checks and reporting.
• Maintain and generate interpretations for drill hole targeting mineral resource assessment.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Geology
• 3+ years experience working in Exploration
• Ideally experience working at similar level
• Team management exposure - Junior Geologist, contractors
• RC and Diamond drilling experience
• Lithium exposure would be looked on favourably
• Experience with Leapfrog or Micromine preferred
